Yes. Guards reduce blockages but don’t eliminate them — silt, dust, seeds and fine debris still get through the gaps designed for water flow, and guards themselves can clog over time. Regular cleaning catches what guards miss.
How often should I have my gutters cleaned?
Twice a year is the right cadence for most Melbourne properties, typically spring and autumn. More often if you’re surrounded by trees, or if you’re in a semi-rural area or somewhere that cops frequent storms.
What happens if I don’t clean my gutters?
