Colorbond & Alucobond
Metal cladding marks and streaks if the pressure is wrong, and Alucobond panels have joints that hold water. Both need controlled pressure rather than force.
Weatherboard & timber
High pressure strips paint at the joins and forces water behind the boards. Soft washing does neither.
Composite cement
Durable but the surface coating scars, and once it does the panel holds dirt faster than before it was cleaned.
Aluminium
Shows water spotting and streaking easily, so the rinse matters as much as the wash.
Vinyl
Flexes under pressure and cracks at the fixings if the wand gets too close. Chemistry does the work here.
Brick
Hard-wearing, but the mortar joints are not. Too much pressure blows out the pointing and creates a much bigger job.

Will cleaning damage my facade?
Not with the right approach — but the wrong one absolutely will. High pressure strips paint from weatherboard, blows mortar out of brick joints, cracks vinyl at the fixings and scars composite panels. We identify the material first, then set the pressure, nozzle and chemistry to suit it.

Will you disrupt our business while you work?
We keep disruption minimal and schedule around you. For retail and occupied commercial buildings we regularly work outside trading hours — tell us your access windows and we’ll build the job around them.
How often should a facade be cleaned?
